Note: An Important Update To Your Evolve Bank & Trust Accounts
To make the Empower experience even better for you, we’re transitioning to a new bank partner to bring you our high-interest Checking and AutoSave accounts and debit card. You will receive a message by mid-February on how to open new Empower bank accounts with our new partner nbkc bank and transfer funds to the new account. In the meantime, you can continue to use your existing account through 4/30/20. Please read more about the upcoming change here.
To link to your external account:
- Go to the Home page of your app and scroll down to the Accounts section
- Tap on "View Accounts"
- Click on the + icon on the upper right
If you can't find your banking institution in the list, tap on the magnifying glass 🔍 on the upper right and you'll be able to search for it.
We use a data provider, Plaid, to connect your external accounts.
Sometimes, you might encounter errors when trying to link your account. If you get a general error, you can typically try again at a later time. If you continue to get errors, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can look into it for you.
Here are some tips:
- Ensure that your login credentials (username and password) are correct
- Ensure that the permissions in your external account allow you to connect to external institutions. You may need to contact your bank to change your security settings.
