To start, please make sure to link the account you receive your payroll in to your Empower app.
You can check to see whether or not you're qualified in the Accounts page of the app after you tap on "Check eligibility now."
If you don't qualify, to help you with qualifying for a future advance, we provide the factors for Cash Advance eligibility in the app. You can find it by completing the following steps:
- Under the Cash Advance section on your Accounts tab, tap on "Check eligibility"
- Follow the flow to review your paycheck account, then tap "Continue"
- If you don't qualify, you'll land on a screen to review alternate ways to qualify. On this screen, tap on "Details" on the upper right
Q: I've repaid my Cash Advance. When can I get another?
A: We set your repayment date based on the pay cycle we detected. Once the repayment is debited from your account, it will take 3 business days to process. You will then be able to see when your next Cash Advance is available.
Q: How can I qualify for a higher amount?
A: We update your Cash Advance qualification and your offered amount based on changes in your account activity. Please check again at a later time!
Q: Why don't I qualify for a Cash Advance anymore? Why do I qualify for a lower Cash Advance than I used to?
A: We determine your eligibility and offer for a Cash Advance based on your account activity. We take into consideration a lot of different factors. This can include, but is not limited to, the frequency or amount of your paycheck and your spending habits. We constantly update your eligibility so if you are not currently eligible, you can check back anytime to see your updated status. For more information regarding the specific factors impacting your eligibility please check the Cash Advance section on the Empower app.
